Seton Hall Law School's Master of Legal Studies degree (MLS) in Privacy Law and Cyber Security is designed for non-lawyer professionals to enhance their effectiveness and marketability. Students will graduate with the knowledge to understand complex privacy rules and practices and to more effectively recognize and respond to risks to their organizations. Privacy laws can be complex and are constantly changing. The Seton Hall MLS empowers professionals with the ability to mitigate cyber security risks and threats due to the 8-week course structure that explores the following areas:

  • CONSUMER DATA PRIVACY LAW
  • FINANCIAL PRIVACY LAW
  • WORKPLACE PRIVACY LAW
  • CYBERSECURITY AND PRIVACY: LAW, POLICY, COMPLIANCE
  • HIPAA PRIVACY AND SECURITY

Seton Hall Law carefully structured the MLS to provide maximum flexibility and customization, allowing you to align your learning experience with your career goals and interests. Students may complete the 31-credits completely online, or partially online and in-person at our campus in Newark, New Jersey.

The Master of Legal Studies can be completed in just two years on a part-time schedule and does not have a residency requirement. Applicants do not have to take the GRE or LSAT.
